SimDorf

Banished ist ein Aufbausimulator, man kontrolliert eine Gruppe aus verbannten Siedlern und soll ihnen helfen ein neues Leben irgendwo in der Wildnis aufzubauen. Klingt zwar einfach, doch Banished unterscheidet sich von Spielen wie der Anno-Reihe oder SimCity. Es ist ziemlich schwer. Zwar kommt es dabei nicht an ein Dwarf Fortress ran, jedoch ist es eine ziemlich unterhaltsame Herausforderung. Mit den ersten Dörfern kommt man meist nicht über die 100 Einwohner hinaus. Damit macht es sich eher zum Dorf- als City-Bauspiel. Das macht sich nicht nur durch die kleine Anzahl der Einwohner, oder den mittelalterlichen Gebäuden sichtbar, sondern auch durch die Gebäudetypen. Es gibt nämlich 30 Gebäudearten, von denen man die Hälfe nicht wirklich oft benutzt. Natürlich keine großartigen Hochhäuser oder ähnliches, meistens nur kleine Häuser und dörfliche Gebäude wie eine Jadghütte.

Winter´s coming

Den Anfang machen nur ein paar Familien und, je nach Schwierigkeitsgrad, ein paar Gebäude. So kriegt man nicht viel in die Hand gedrückt und muss sich alles erarbeiten, denn die Dorfbewohner haben Bedürfnisse. Unsere Verbannten haben nämlich mit Hunger, Krankheiten und Kälte zu kämpfen. Für jedes der Bedürfnisse bietet das Spiel ein paar Möglichkeiten. Nahrung können wir durch Fischen oder Tierhaltung produzieren, gegen die Kälte helfen Feuerholz für die Häuser und Jacken für die Bewohner. Krankheiten kann man zu Beginn durch Kräuter vorbeugen und später dann mit Hilfe eines Krankenhauses.Langweilig wird es nicht, denn es kommen immer neue Probleme auf, das Feuerholz ist etwa leer und der nächste Winter steht bevor. Und wenn unsere Siedler nicht erfrieren, dafür aber am Hungertuch nagen ist auch niemandem geholfen. So muss man immer eine Balance finden, zwischen Nahrung, Feuerholz und Häusern. Denn in jedes neue Haus können zwei Erwachsene ziehen und dort eine Familie gründen. So braucht man immer mehr Nahrung und Holz. Man kann sich jedoch bei einigen Bedürfnissen kleine Boni aufbauen. Beispielsweise kann man auch aus Leder und Wolle Kleidung produzieren, die die Leute länger warm hält, oder Steinhäuser bauen, die länger warm bleiben. Schulen gibt es auch, diese lassen eure Kinder erst 7 Jahre später auf die Arbeit los, doch macht sie dabei effektiver.

Alkohol macht alle froh

Neben dem Hunger und der Kälte gibt es noch Krankheiten und Unzufriedenheit. Ersteres bekämpft man mit Kräutern oder Krankenhäusern und letzteres kann durch zwei verschiedene Dinge bewältigt werden, viele verschiedene Nahrungsarten, oder eben Alkohol. Das Handelssystem in dem Spiel ist nicht sehr kompliziert, man bringt Rohstoffe an das Handelsgebäude am Ufer eines Flusses und wartet bis ein Händler vorbeischaut. Die Händler haben nicht besonders viel dabei, ein paar Nutztiere oder Samen für neue Pflanzenarten. An dem Erscheinungsbild des Spieles ist nichts auszusetzen, es ist auf keinen Fall eine Augenweide wie eine Anno-Metropole, doch es kann sich blicken lassen.

Fazit:
Kurz, Banished macht Spaß. Das Ein-Mann-Entwicklerteam hat alles richtig gemacht und obwohl es zuerst nicht sehr kompliziert erscheint, ist es sehr wichtig zu entscheiden, ob und was man baut. Ein Dorf kann sehr schnell verhungern, oder erfrieren wenn man es nicht geschickt genug baut. Das ist eigentlich nie langweilig, doch ist es sehr zu empfehlen die Vorspulen-Funktion zu verwenden, da die meisten Dinge sehr lange dauern und auf der normalen Geschwindigkeit schnell Langweile aufkommt. Nichtsdestotrotz ein Muss für jeden Aufbauspiele-Fan. MP
